Carnegie Museum Writers’ Tour: Story, Technique, and Character

When: Saturday, July 15, 11:30am start
Where: Carnegie Museum of Art
Cost: $15

Join us for a guided tour of the Carnegie, where we will study various pieces for their technique and affect on the viewer. The tour will be followed by a short period of free-writing. Lunch at the museum cafe will precede the tour (the cost of lunch is separate from the event fee and each attendee is responsible for his/her own meal).


Self-publishing Workshop

When: Saturday, August 5, 2:00-4:00pm
Where: Ascender Pittsburgh, 6401 Penn Avenue
Cost: Free

Join panelists Jeff Boarts, Martha Reed, Lee McClain and moderator Babs Carryer to discuss the ins and outs of successful self-publishing. There is no charge for the event, but reservations are recommended (a link will be forthcoming).


Writing Workshop with Susan Meier

When: September 9, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Where: Carnegie Library, Oakmont, PA
Cost: $50 for chapter members, $60 for non-members

Susan Meier, author of over fifty novels for Harlequin and Sihouhette, will join us for two fantastic workshops: Knowing Your Story and Can This Manuscript Be Saved?

Snacks and beverages will be available during the workshops. We will break for lunch at nearby Panera Break around noon. Lunch will be at the attendee’s own cost.

Pennsylvania Library Association annual convention
